Today there are three leaders among non-affiliated deputies who would like to chair the deputies’ group of “majoritarians” in case it is formed.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine Ihor Kalyetnik said this in the interview to the Information Agency “HolosUA”.
He assured also that the Communist Party of Ukraine will not vote for amendments to the Rules of Procedure that suggest reduce the number of people’s deputies, who can form a group with faction rights, to 15 persons.
“Such deputies’ group does not reflect those principles the Ukrainian Parliament was elected on, thus it is understandable that faction of the Communist Party of Ukraine will not uphold this bill,” claimed Ihor Kalyetnik.
“The fight is lead for the opportunity to participate in negotiations and to have the casting vote right during the meetings of the Conciliatory Council,” he said.
“It adds serious credibility to the leader of such deputies’ group. But this credibility is of artificial origin, in case of its formation, such deputies’ group will be created not through the declaration of will of the Ukrainian people but through secretive agreements,” thinks Ihor Kalyetnik.
He noted that theoretically the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine could find votes for the respective amendments to the Rules of Procedure “if all non-affiliated deputies vote. On the other hand, it is unknown weather all non-affiliated deputies will want to uphold this proposal.”
